DeAngelo Gibbs

Graduate transfer from Tennessee who began his career as a highly touted prospect at Georgia… joined the team in January as a walk-on… played two seasons with the Bulldogs before logging three with the Volunteers… worked at the Nickel position in the spring, but also has experience playing the wide receiver position… has not played in a game since 2018… is the 10th-oldest FBS player in college football in 2023 and the second-oldest non-kicker.

Opted out of the 2020 season to focus on academics.

Transferred to Tennessee and was not eligible due to transfer rules… redshirted… practiced at both wide receiver and defensive back.

2018 (Sophomore)
Lettered in his second year as a defensive back at Georgia… played in seven of 14 games and finished with seven tackles… did not participate in spring drills.

2017 (Freshman)
Lettered in his first season at Georgia while playing defensive back for the Bulldogs… appeared in six games and had three total stops… posted an assisted tackle vs. Mississippi State…made two tackles against App State… early enrollee who participated in spring drills.

DeAngelo Deon Gibbs was born Sept. 23, 1997… earned his undergraduate degree in communications studies in the Haslam College of Business while at Tennessee.
