L.O.T.,i.e. “lots of time” should be the name of this vase. This started out as a 120 lbs block of mesquite~$500! After after 80 hours the old stump is a vase. Overall height is 13″ and base width is 11″. There was a tremendous amount of lava in this and the trips to the grinder numbered in the ridiculous range. Hope you like it.

Ron, I know you enjoyed the challenge!After all, a 100+ year old root crown was’nt about to surrender it’s armor with-out resistence. I appreciate the marbled contrast of heart & sap wood….$500 & 80 hours…you got a great deal. Thank you for sharing another beautiful piece. Larry
