About 10″ tall this piece of buckeye has a lot of character. In order to retain as much of the “weirdness” as possible, it was necessary to leave the walls nearly a half inch thick and create a three dimensional effect. In the end it came satisfactory; however, there are too many sanding scratches, which the high luster revealed. It is not worth re-sanding and refinishing, so the piece will stand as a reminder to be more careful.
